Eddyline Brews & Bluegrass Weekend Recap
Cabin fever is setting in for a lot of us in the Arkansas River Valley with a wintery mix and cold temperatures upon us and more expected for tonight. Community members braved the cold and snow this weekend for our Barrel Aged 14’er Java Stout Release Party at Eddyline Pub and the Whitewater Winter Music Series presented Oakhurst at Eddyline Restaurant.
Barrel Aged 14’er Java Stout Release Party Recap
On Saturday at 5pm, Eddyline brew enthusiasts and patrons joined us at Eddyline Pub & Brewery for our Barrel Aged 14’er Java Stout Release Party! Our special release Coffee Stout received fantastic reviews and was topped off before the end of the evening. Guests also took private tours of our newly expanded brewing facility to see what it takes to craft our award-winning brews. Stay tuned for future events at Eddyline Pub & Brewery!
After the Barrel Aged 14’er Java Stout Release Party, Eddyline supporters strapped on their snow boots and headed down to Eddyline Restaurant for the Whitewater Winter Music Series. The dining room transformed into a concert venue as Oakhurst took the stage at 8pm. Show goers enjoyed Eddyline brews, local whole foods and Colorado bluegrass at it’s finest.
Folks traveled in the snow storm from Leadville and Salida to see Oakhurst perform! Originated in Denver, Colorado, Oakhurst spikes traditional bluegrass with rock & roll and a kamikaze rhythmic sensibility. They often can be seen joining the stage with Colorado legends such as Leftover Salmon, Yonder Mountain String Band and Great American Taxi.
After set-break, Oakhurst unplugged their instruments and joined us on the floor for a special and intimate acoustic performance. Fans requested their favorite Oakhurst tunes while singing and dancing along.
Join us as we continue the Whitewater Winter Music Series with musical guests, The Congress on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the Buena Vista Whitewater Park!
