Must Do Family-Friendly Winter Adventures – Before Warm Weather is Here to Stay!
With spring and summer weather around the corner, we have your must do family-friendly winter adventures before warm weather is here to stay. With endless outdoor adventures out our back door, it can often be hard to fit everything in.
Make Eddyline your BaseCamp for all of your adventures! Enjoy our award-winning craft brews, local whole foods and family-friendly atmosphere.
1. Family Yurt Mountain Living
Cross-country ski, snowshoe or take your snowmobile 1.3 miles to a remote Yurt from the Nordic Center at Tennessee Pass, just up the road in Leadville, CO. Make it a family vacation to enjoy with your loved-ones. Enjoy incredible views, outdoor adventures out your door step and the remoteness of mountain living. Cozy up in your Yurt with a warm fire and roasted marshmallows. Yurt’s tend to book a year in advance so if you didn’t get a chance to this year make your reservations for next season.
2. Tubing at Dutch Henry Hill
Looking for a family-friendly winter adventure before those spring and summer months? Just up the road, we have Dutch Henry Tubing Hill, the highest and fastest sledding hill in Colorado! Tube rentals available. During spring months, tubing will remain as long as conditions allow for it.
3. Family Skiing at Monarch Mountain
Are you looking to make memories with your family during these last winter months? Head out to Monarch Mountain for a day of family skiing. If you or your little ones are new to skiing or snowboarding, Monarch Mountain has special Family “Play Together” Lessons. They are designed for 3-10 people, ages 7+, all using the same type of equipment.
